Community Management

New Jersey Podcasters Association

By creating the New Jersey Podcasters Association (NJPA), Chris brought together the best podcasters in the Garden State, building a community of creative, tech savvy broadcasters from a variety of backgrounds.

Part Time Vagabond video series

“I just want to go…”

Have you ever just wanted to get away from wherever you are? Just pick up and live a “location independent,” vagabond-style life? So many of us dream about traveling around the world, making a living writing while sipping cold beers on some secluded beach in the middle of the nowhere. Of course, real life always sucker punches those dreams, leaving us disillusioned and cynical. What if we could live our dreams part-time, taking shorter trips more often and living the way we want to while still keeping our social, family, and economic lives intact?

Think of Part Time Vagabond as a place to gain inspiration and ideas, where you can enjoy reading posts and watching videos about getting away from it all to enjoy what the world has to offer. Whether a weekend gear-testing trip in the mountains, a fancy week reviewing gourmet foods in Mexico, or a day spent brewing your own handmade beer, Part Time Vagabond aims to be your source of inspiration for your semi-location-independent lifestyle.

Social Media Breakfast Maine

Filmosity Productions live streams the monthly Social Media Breafast events in Maine, hosted by Hall Web Services. The Social Media Breakfast was founded by Bryan Person in August 2007 as an event where social media experts and newbies alike come together to eat, meet, share, and learn. Marketers, PR pros, entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, new-media fanatics, and online social networkers are all welcome to attend.

RESTORE: The North Woods Live Presentation

Using the Livestream platform, the presentation by Jym St. Pierre for the RESTORE organization about the creation of a National Park in Maine was broadcast live to the state of Maine and beyond. We consulted on a new media strategy for event publicity, helped to implement the strategy, promote the event, and manage the real-time chat during the event.

Women Respond To Palin Webathon

Using the Ustream.tv platform, the “Women Respond to Palin Webathon” incorporated social media and web video tools such as a real-time live chat room, video-sharing with friends via email and social sharing sites (Digg, del.icio.us, etc.) and, for Bloggers, the ability to host the Webathon on their blog by embedding the live video on their site. It was an unprecedented new media event for a social cause. I was the lighting director and camera operator for the event.
