Robots At Trenton Computer Fest!
Posted on April 28, 2007
I’m at the Trenton Computer Festival manning the New Jersey Podcasters Association booth right now, and just a few minutes ago, a robot came by. Yes, a robot.
Geeks, enjoy the technological glory.

PodcampNYC wrapup.
Posted on April 8, 2007
PodcampNYC 2007 was great. I spent much of the day videotaping sessions and interviews with attendees, but I was also able to just sit and enjoy a few sessions. Not having been to any conferences before, I really didn’t have a reference to compare a mainstream conference to this “unconference,” but I was informed by several people that the two are very different. There certainly was a vibe of education. And the buzzword of the day: Passion. Everyone was talking about it, and everyone had it. It was great.
I finally got to meet a few people in person who I only knew online. And of course, one of the first people I met was Chris Brogan, who promptly commented on my tripod (jealous!). But let’s start earlier in the day. I took the train in, and before I left, I checked Twitter to see any updates, and of course Brad P. from NJ was on his way in. I thought, He might be on the same train as me, but we’ll never be in the same car. So who’s the first person I see on the train? Yep. Some other online friends I met (or people I was just happy to meet): C.C. Chapman, Julien Smith, Chris Penn, John C. Havens, Gary Leland from Podcast Pickle, and of course, the Pickle Man (or girl, as the case may be). All very cool people…and pickle.
Some highlights of the day:
- Chris Brogan dons a top hat and a cape for the Opening Ceremony. But he kept his pants on all day.

- I finally met C.C. Chapman in person. About damn time.

- The Pickle Man danced for me.

So that’s about it. I didn’t go to any parties as my back was giving me trouble, but I had a good time anyway. Met some cool people, and got to hear some cool things. Looking forward to the next Podcamp. Maybe Boston?
